Aeon's Refuge
Aeon's Refuge is one of the more run down buildings in Repentance way, but that's partially because it's constantly full of children. In Nesryn's older twilight years she means to take on less and less children, but somehow more always appear on her door. The coin she collects from sucessfully turning children into members of the clergy or guard also tends to disolve some of her resolve.
Children who grow up here are often taught exclusively by Priests, and are given odd jobs around the city in order to earn coin and favor. Many are assigned city alters to clean and tend to, and children who are able to report "bad guys" to the clergy are often rewarded with all manner of trinkets and goodies.
Purpose / Function
Aeon's refuge is a safe house for lost and undesirable children. It's located in the most dense section of Manomay and is well known for being one of many orphanages that are part of pipeline that channels children into the Priesthood, or Holy Guardians. The home houses anywhere from 10-30 children at one time, which is an impressive amount given the modest size of the home.
Alterations
Nesryn has had to stack and structure this home carefully to house all the children kept inside. While she maintains a primary bedroom, there are only 3 rooms for children. One she reserves for the very younglings, one for middling years, and one for those about to strike out on their own. Beds are sometimes stacked 3 or 4 high, and bedrolls are kept to roll out during especially busy times.
Tourism
While sometimes families may visit searching for lost loved ones or looking for new children to love, the most frequent visitors to Nesryn's children's home are the Priests who come to teach the children.
