Madarr, God of the Ocean

Guardian and God of the Ocean Madarr (a.k.a. Old Man of the Seas)

Worship of Madarr

Madarr doesn't ask for your worship, praise, or prayers, but if you withhold them he shows you no mercy. As the god of the oceans he commands his lieutenants to be merciless and ruthless in guarding what he holds most sacred. Sailors and costal cities erect Temples to honor Madarr, and offer him gold and song to keep him happy. Those sailing far from shore bring a vial of sand from home with them, so should Madarr wish take their vessel he might recognize the dirt from where they came and send them home instead of taking them to the deeps.

Alters and Temples of Madarr

A temple or alter to Madarr is often built where the tides meet the shore so he can enjoy the space created for him. These places are often spectacular and decorated with shimmering flecks of gold and are designed with acoustics in mind so that Madarr might enjoy the music that's played there for miles and miles.
