Sariel's School of The Divine
Sariel's School of the Divine accepts students from all over Tema, and sometimes from other places in the world. The head master there brings in wonderful guest speakers and is quite talented himself. The school itself is divided into 4 years, and each year focus' on students from two different schools of magic. Students learn to harness the magic abilities their deities have gifted them with and learn the histories around banned and restricted schools of magic, including when the rules should be broken. First year studends learn about Divination and Transumtation from professors Cedric Stonesworn and Funryn Molomnath. Second year students learn about Conjuration and Abjuration from professors Horhik Ourben Xalbis Enidon and Fari Strongmaster. Third year students learn about the highly coveted topic of Evocation, and the banned necromantic practices from Duraina Darkcraft and Nargol Hellfang. Fourth year students are taught all about Enchantment and how to recognize and dispel Illusion magic from Ransenth and Parx Haelong. Each year spent at Sariel's school is a challenge and a gift, the bottom 25% of students of each year are culled out of their courses. So some years that start with 100 students may end up at graduation with only 30. This is partially due to teachers wanting to weed out students as they learn more and more restricted information only letting the most talented students learn the most secretive things.
Purpose / Function
The purpose of Sariel's School of the Divine is the teaching and mentoring in peoples gifted in magical abilities. Students travel all over to try and get their education here because graduates are often well connected and are more likely to gain higher ranks in the Priesthood. Graduates of the Divine School are often permitted to skip becoming a Seminarian, and are able to offically enter the Priesthood as a Priest, skipping their Surmon presentation and talented students sometimes make the short list to be Templed.
Architecture
This large gothic structure is carved with ornate depictions of miracles, Gods, and feats of magic. The tower atop Sariel's school is the highest peak in Manomay.
Tourism
Tourists are not welcome at Sariel's school, but entering the main hall of the school is where you will be greeted and directed to either leave, or submit your offical application.
