Tempest Trading Company
The Tempest Trading Company is the merchant company that splits business throughout Elloría. They run cargo through both land and sea.
Structure
The overall structure of the organization looks like the following:
- Grand Commodore (or Chief Commodore): The ultimate authority, overseeing all major decisions, naval fleets, and trade negotiations. They ensure the company's dominance on the seas and in ports.
- Harbormasters: Responsible for overseeing operations at major ports, negotiating docking fees, organizing trade schedules, and ensuring smooth shipments.
- Sailmasters: With deep knowledge of weather patterns, trade winds, and the seas these skilled navigators and experienced sailors manage the fleets and trade ships. They may double as recruiters for new crews.
- Envoys & Negotiators: Diplomats and businesspeople responsible for forging alliances with other merchants, governments, or noble houses. They specialize in high-stakes deals.
- Trade Agents: These mid-level employees work directly with clients, securing deals, and ensuring the successful execution of contracts.
- Quartermasters: Manage the supplies, finances, and crew contracts. They ensure the company's assets are well-maintained and profitable.
- Captains & Sailors: The backbone of the company, handling everyday trade, shipments, and sailing routes.
Culture
Tempest Trading tends to shift around their crews more frequently than other companies. They follow some intense form of analytics to analyze the best crew setup for whatever specific job is scheduled. This obviously tends to create a multitude of crews, thus resulting in constant change for shiphands and Captains alike.
Public Agenda
Much like their rival company, Pinnacle Mercantile, Pinnacle is non-discriminate when it comes to business partners. The more goods flowing, the richer the world gets.
History
The company has been around for some time, but has truly picked up tracking following the conclusion of the Centurion Wars.
