The Bet

The Bet, The Challenge, The Duel. Whatever you've heard it be called by the few who know it's going on. Seven big name demons of the deadly sins variety have each decided that Elmwood Port is THE place for a game. Whichever one of them can control the most territory of the city and surrounding areas after an indeterminate amount of time gets...well we're not entirely sure what they get aside from a bunch of mortal souls and bragging rights. Maybe just another kick at their enternal enemy's world. Either way the environments and people of Elmwood twist and chnage depending on who's on top of things when. An unknown fast food chain pops up on every street corner, underground fight clubs get swarmed with participants and audiences, that hoarder's TV show could get a whole season of material on one street and more of the like. Reports have shown evidence of an increase in almost all of the seven "deadly" sins. Almost. It may be unsuprising that Sloth hasn't been seen during this whole thing, but Envy has also not been spotted during this whole thing, The worldy population doesn't seem aware of the goings on somehow, chalking it down to just businesses constantly changing hands, or the corruption of the youth somehow. Those in the know are doing everything from trying to do as much as they can to help out, to getting the heck out of there as fast as humanly (or inhumanly) possible. Cause while the end game of all of this is still very unclear when either of those territories clash there's bound to be bodies, and torn reality in their wake, so who knows what the city will be like after it's all over. But hey that's just the viloence of the coty right? This happens all the time. Nothing weird is going on.
