Calia, the Eternal Shores

Geography

Home of the Imperial Naval Academy and governed by the Exarch of Eunarin, the shores of Calia are amongst the most beautiful in the world. Rivaled only by the Pristine Coast of the Arden Ocean, Calia borders the Sea of Twilight, an entrancing and mystifying place, home to crystalline waters and moonlight. The idyllic Calia rests perfectly on the Sea of Twilight, crowning the southernmost reaches of the Seren Empire, and offering up prime locations for naval construction and training.
Arch Emperor Alarum the Incarnate of Goodness restricted any building on the shores, as well as provided alternate waste release routes to preserve the beauty of the shores. Scholars have conjectured from poetry of the past that the shores remain as beautiful as they were almost ten millennia ago.
Calia is home to the “agradu” crab, a species unique to Calia. The agradu is of importance because it actually manufactures soulstone out of the sand grains of Calia. Each agradu has a minimal output, although over many hundreds of years, a significant portion of soulstone can be collected. Arch Emperor Alarum the Defender put in restrictive legislation against hunting agradu, as well as made it illegal for anyone to interrupt agradu breeding grounds, called “colchi,” or more colloquially, “soulstone mines.”
