Crestwater Lake

Geography

The giant Crestwater Lake, north of Mesalan, west of the Plains of Ether, and east of the Lesser Plains of Exmore, is one of Alynor’s largest bodies of water. In the World Pangaea, the lake is said to be rather small compared to other bodies of water, but nevertheless, in Orim the lake is the second largest. Its glimmering, crystalline water and beautiful shores represent some of the purest lands in all of Alynor.
Crestwater Lake is used extensively by its north shores. Irrigation systems run all over the Great Organics, fueled by many ingenious systems used to pull water northward. Fortresses abound on its northern shores – many being remnants of ancient Mesalanic imperialism. The Twilight War, fought between the Ashen Empire and Mesalan, tore the land apart. Dark Frigates and Monitor Galleons were a common sight on the lake from end of the Age of the Southern Kingdoms up until the Foreboding Age. Since then, however, the Seren Empire has seized control of the Crestwater Lake region.
