Morubi Dunes
Geography
The Morubi Dunes, named after the Axis of Morubi on Xvernom, has long since been considered “the end of the world.” The sands of the Morubi Dunes almost quadruple those of Tempest Vex in height. Almost every scholar considers it impossible to sustain a civilization in the Morubi Dunes. A slight shifting of the sands could take the life of an army or of a village.
There truly is nothing in the Morubi Dunes, or if there was, it has long since been covered. The great scientist Nordaron, a Goltian pro-imperialist, went to the Morubi Dunes to research, and amazingly came back two years later. In his account, “The Days of Eternal Night,” he recounts his travel through Empre’s Hand, Tempest Vex, Tempest Morgul, and the Morubi Dunes. He recalls how he was oftentimes only inches away from being overtaken by the sands of the Morubi Dunes and Tempest Vex. He recalls him escaping Geonodis, Baeltolis, and Putrivox clans in Empre’s Hand and Tempest Morgul. Parts of the account have been made into children’s fables and tales.
