Tempest Morgul, the Shadow Lands
Geography
The name “Tempest Morgul” has unknown origins. Thus, the Goltian King Synum XXVII gave the region the name of “the Shadow Lands” in IAI12164. It is commonly referred to as Tempest Morgul, but officially it is “Tempest Morgul, the Shadow Lands.”
Tempest Morgul is the northeastern region of the Khata-Tahr Deserts. Hardly any accounts survive of this accursed place. Bounded on the north by the Kilthūm Mountains that lead to the Gold Coast, Tempest Morgul is the battlegrounds of the Baeltolis, Geonodis, and Putrivox schools of evil. The horrors that occur there are unspeakable. The Third Paragon of Light, during the period of The Cleansing, traveled to Tempest Morgul, where he battled the Paragon of Darkness and successfully defeated him. The Age of Virtue marks the only attempt at Seren expansion into the region. By the Age of Intellect, the Seren Empire had withdrawn troops and settlers from there.
There are two known “oases” in Tempest Morgul, each cesspools with dead trees. They are Aljixlic and Axlfar-Klah-Fxexic. The Seren have no other names for these places except for what they heard out of native’s mouths (hence the strange names). The Seren outpost of Haltarr stabilized for a small time, but then fell into disrepair, until finally the Seren Empire withdrew.
