Dolerite

Dolerite is a type of igneous rock, comprised of several other minerals such as different types of feldspar, olivine, and peridot. A hard, durable type of rock that can resist many forms of weathering, including magical.
While this would make it prized for runestones, the effort to mine usable pieces of the rock outweigh the benefits.
