Longbow of the Wood

Magical longbow. Rich cherry wood with an engraving of leaves along the the main curve and where the bowstring is strung. The leaves are wood, but are polished so that they resemble an antique gold at first glance. Grip is wrapped in a soft, black leather that is surprisingly hard to damage.

Significance

A Longbow of the Wood slightly increases the damage capacity of a standard arrow fired with this bow, from the mundane 1d8 to a magical 1d8+1.
GM needed:
  • Below numbers should be in an RPG block of some sort, I think?
  • What technology is used to make it?
  • Does the magic affect this longbow compared to a nonmagical longbow, other than adding 1 point of damage?
  • Of what, exactly, is it made? Are the straps a special kind of leather, or can they be replaced with whatever is handy? Does it take a specially treated bowstring?
  • What does it cost, and how rare is it?
