This kobold clan allied itself with Nualia's plot to take over and mostly destroy Aquitaine. Most of their strong warriors were killed in the climax.
Forg son of Gorg the Champion of Shanktooth Clan, Forg son of Korovus the Chief of Shanktooth Clan, stepped into the weakened tribe and declared himself the new Chief and also Insect Master. Who would dare to say him nay? No one still living! No one who wanted to keep all their body parts!
Forg, Chief of Thistletop Clan, moved the clan far north of Sog's Lake, far north of evil Aquitaine. He followed ancient marks of kobold trail sign until he found a complex of old tunnels under a mostly ruined mammals' keep. What a great place to live! To set up ambushes! To capture mammals for the looting and the feasting!
This worked just fine until some stupid, nosy, bossy, evil mammals showed up and defeated everything. Forg died in extremely brief combat. Forg's insects died also. Now these adventurers are Chief of Thistletop Clan by right of combat!
(They did not seem to grasp that idea.)
What kobold in its right mind wants to be part of a mammal clan??
Most survivors of Thistletop Clan drifted off to join other Clans.
Perhaps some day, a new Thistletop Clan will form. Maybe. If one clan ever has enough hatchlings survive to be worth calving off a separate Clan.
