Enchanting

Enchanting is the act of "programming" Shiridite crystals to behave in certain ways. They can be programmed to perform Magical actions in response to stimuli. The complexity of these actions and stimuli can vary to a large degree, but the process is very skill-intensive.
Any action which consumes energy will need to be supplied with energy either from within the crystal (which would eventually destroy the enchantment itself if allowed to deplete the crystal), or an easily accessible outside source.
