Elos

Through years and years of conflict, the peoples and various races of Elos have found themselves in a period of distrust and disconnect. Though once a land of cohesion recent events and marred choices on all sides have led to a world divided.

  It has been 17 years since the end of the great war between the Elves and the Humans. Known to the Elves as Var-Kelvar, or Nature’s Protection in common tongue, (and to the Humans as simply the Elvish Strike) the war was started in retaliation to the destruction of a province of Wood Elves by the Human Empire led at the time by a King Regent by the name of Sepret. Though the specifics of the event are still up for debate the soldiers of Helm’s Sanction went into the village of Taura’mael to negotiate the ownership of the land and the resources within. As far as anyone that is alive now knows, the leaders of the Wood Elf clan that ran the village refused and the Human soldiers burned the village and the surrounding woods to the ground. Hearing of this unprovoked attack on their brethren the Elves quickly declared war on the Human Empire.   Due to the Elvish victory, the lands ran by the High Elves have never seen more prosperity. Its capital city of Elenelos has flourished due to the growth in industry and unified support from its citizens. On the other hand, Helm's Sanction is a large ruin left to stand as a testament to the might of the Elvish Empire.
