The Hatching

“The heavenly pearl, the great moon Kamar, cracked and from within a great evil, the Ender, was hatched. Roaring out in hatred as it took shape in the form of a dragon with its wings spread wide, it blew a fiery torrent across Kamar’s golden brother moon, Auren. Once a shiny surface of shimmering gold, like looking into the eyes of the Divine themselves, it was left but blackened and charred. As the sun faded to darkness, the only light visible was the burning maw of the dragon. The Divines themselves were forced to act, uniting in the Plains of Salt they poured their Being into pushing back the darkness. Powers never witnessed before or since clashed and the Ender was brought low. Harnessing all of their power they were unable to destroy the beast yet Asmiel lulled it to sleep with her peaceful voice. There the gods drew it into the soil along with their sister who eternally sings to keep the Ender from awakening.”

Historical Basis

There is great evidence of a worldwide calamity which occurred.  Recovered historical documents as well as art depicted an additional moon over the planet.
