Steelfist Mine

The Steelfist Mine exists below the surface of Verdant Isle . it is accessible through a work tunnel from the Steelfist Settlement. There is also a tunnel leading from the mine to an underground grotto beneath the southern end of Verdant Isle. Within the mine are various tunnels that have been created to follow different ledes or investigate various strata within the island. There is an area within the mine where smelting facilities have been constructed.

A lower section of the mine has a door that leads to the crypts used by the settlement, where the remains of the dead of the settlement have been interred.

For a time the mine was occupied by Orcs and some Ogres that mined the area and forged weapons within it. The orcs also kept a series of captives within the caves that they pressed into working in the mines in various capacities.
