Session 5, Shadows in Aldhon

General Summary

Aldhon proved to be a lively city. As the group entered the Ridge District construction equipment began to fail causing a massive stone slab to fall towards several civilians. The group acted fast, saving some lives, and most of an elderly woman's rutabagas. As part of their report to a captain in the guard, and speaking with the town crier, the group gained some valuable information while sharing some information (and rumors) of their own. The group then went to the Reliquary to check in with Balran's superiors and see what information could be gathered there. While part way through their visit, an experiment went awry in the depths of the Mysticanum. The fledgling mages had inadvertently opened a portal with a Far Shard, releasing shadowy creatures bent on seeking out magic and consuming it. The party went into the depths to help the mages there, and managed to close the portal through destroying the shard.
