This island upon approach, seems to be made of white mountains and sharp cliffs, laced with what seems to be bronze or copper pipes. But upon closer inspection, the shapes of teapots and cups and plates becomes visible. And the island seems less like an island and more like a series of mismatching oversized tea sets that some absolutely gigantic creature piled in the ocean and wrapped bronze wires around.
It looks utterly ridiculous but upon even closer inspection, the realisation dawns that this is no illusion, every inch of white cliff and mountain has been carved into some form of tea implement.
Don’t be fooled however, despite the island’s whimsical appearance, civility was lost long ago when pirates took over. This island was once a holiday destination for the very wealthy originally owned by the Lieve, but now is a pirate’s den. (And also the headquarters for The Mirthmakers)
The island has a series of steam locomotives that carry people and goods around, and another series of steam powered lifts and machines that carry people and goods up and down the various levels.
Ephemerile is run by a calico Tabaxi named Captain Patch. He’s a flamboyant fellow, with a fiery terracotta coat lined with bright purple, and a tricorn hat with an ostrich feather. He’s a fair captain, and a good one, and people trust his judgement.

The Sugar Cube Inn

The prettiest tavern on this island, a building carved into one of the caves in the shape of a sugar jar, with the chimney looking like a spoon out one side. Owned by Granny Isogyra, a gnome woman

The Emerald Oyster Tavern

A tavern carved into a cave. There are wooden platforms built up on the walls as rooms, with the common area below. Owned by Jethym, a drow man

The Happy Nutmeg

A simple inn, owned by a dwarf woman, Rynvia Moltenstorm, it’s more like a large upstairs room split with dividers into smaller rooms.

Herjolf’s Quarry

Run by Herjolf Frostreach, a dwarf man. General store.

The Seafloor's Bounty

A shop of sometimes magic, sometimes random other items. The shop is owned by Darpali, an old, hunched human woman, and her teenage granddaughter Priya, who has one brown eye and one blue.

Estella’s Cauldron

A potion store run by Estella, an elven woman, reddish brown hair with streaks of platinum blonde

The Oaken Barrel

Fight club, basically. Owned by an older halfling named Fineon Tossbrush
You can choose to fight either the Red Queen (Coatl Elf monk) or The Bear (goliath barbarian)
Red Queen: a lean but muscled elven woman, shorter than a typical elf but with black hair in a thick braid, bronze skin and a wild look in her eye. She carries a staff decorated with skull beads and feathers
The Bear: a huge hulking goliath, grey skin and a hood made of a bear skin. He’s got swirling face tattoos and a band of iron around his bicep.

Hyren’s Table

An eatery serving various grilled seafood. Owned by Hyren, a rather boxy-framed human man with a receding hairline and a bright blue apron over simple clothes. He is aided by his daughter Angela.
