Erypos

Erypos is a city on the coast of Ile-Ile that is the most common port of call for ships coming from Ostrara. Erypos is colloquially known as Seawall since it is situated on top of a set of modified cliffs. The city itself used to stretch down to the water, but after the first two great waves destroyed a good portion of the city, efforts were taken to raise the entire city to a safe height.   Erypos also has a very unique port, it is located inside and below the city’s seawall itself, with ships sailing in through special gates that raise the ships to a smaller harbour above sea level. Each of these gates are so large that up to 4 frigates can enter at once (though it is not recommended by the local dock workers).
There is an internal grotto as well where the local fishermen often sail from and there is a marketplace famed in Ile-Ile for having the freshest fish located just beyond the grotto. It’s called The Oyster and many locals and tourists enjoy going there to eat.
