Lub Suab (lu sang)
The Han Alliance made an agreement for a single dialect and alphabet for their territories taught alongside common in schools. This language is called lub suab (pronounced ‘lu sang’) and has an old form and a new form. The old form is tonal and has 4 tones, but the new form did away with the tones and sounds slightly different.
The old form of lub suab is largely pictographical, and contains thousands of characters. Not many of the Han know how to read old lub suab anymore, but the language is still studied and preserved by scholars across the globe.
New lub suab also contains some pictographical characters, however, it has been greatly simplified and it includes characters from each of the three languages spoken as mother tongue in each kingdom of the Alliance.
