The Aurum Guard (il-ah-lin)

The Giltman Corp does have a standing army of officers and they are often nicknamed the Goldmen for their golden-gloved hands. Officially, the goldmen are called the Aurum Guard, and they run the security force that keeps the Giltmans and their executives safe (and also the rest of Ile Ile).
The Aurum Guards rank is denoted by the number of ‘rings’ on their hands. These ‘rings’ are actually decorative black embroidery surrounding a single small gem on the knuckle. It’s commonly known to the Ile that a ten-ringer is someone to be feared.

2. Captain (9 ringer)
3. Lieutenant (8 ringer)
4. Officer Cadet (7 ringer)
5. Sergeant Major (6 ringer)
6. Sergeant (5 ringer)
7. Sergeant Cadet (4 ringer)
8. Corporal (3 ringer)
9. Private (2 ringer)
