Humans

Humans were the creators of Elysium, and they are not its denizens and rulers. Very few people believe that anyone other than humans exist within Elysium because The Generated are considered to be a myth by almost everyone, and so humans are almost the only people within the digital universe.

Basic Information

Anatomy

The physical bodies of humans are unchanged from ancient 21st century earth, but their bodies in Elysium can take on any form they desire, provided they have the appropriate permissions and enough points to purchase the right cosmetic alterations or create new ones themselves. If someone wishes to have four arms and six eyes, done, if the want scales and dragon wings, terrific, if they want to look like a moving clay sculpture, totally possible. As long as they have the appropriate permissions, and enough points to buy cosmetic alterations or skills to make them for themselves, they can look like anything they want.
Their shapes are restricted to being at least roughly humanoid, and some places or situations limit or mandate their form in certain ways, such as law enforcement being required to wear their uniforms on their shapes while on duty, and churches banning any shapes with horns or hooves.

Genetics and Reproduction

Human bodies back on the starship that carries them and the massive computers that house them help facilitate human reproduction when the minds attached to those bodies engage in time honored sexual reproduction within Elysium. When two people of opposite sexes and of reproductive age engage in sexual activity, their physical bodies respond as they normally would. And if both parties consent to pregnancy, the drones which care for their bodies will facilitate the beginning of that pregnancy. After which time, the baby grows and is born as normal.

Biological Cycle

Human bodies are kept in stasis and well taken care of, and as such, their lifespans have increased to around 200 years at maximum. But all bodies degrade someday, which means humans still suffer from the passage of time and advanced age, and still die when their time is up.
