The Proxy Corp-Conflict

While Lockheed Meta gave up Elysium after the Disnintendo-Wipe-Incident, operatives of every major global player still remain. Most executives, head researchers, commanding officers and tribe leaders chose to stay - consolidating ressources and influence, trying to establish their faction to a degree that allows them to export the results of research conducted in the floating city. Even though the war is technically over neither WA or Lockheed forces here, not wanting to grant the other the abillity to to pack up shop orderly and potentially gain an military advantage, never gave up conflict. With communication between research institution's allready terrible years before the war and the anchorage truce crumbling at a more alarming pace day by day - this fear is more then reasonable. Operatives instantly got their reward for this aswell - complete denunciation. Most leaders try to surpress knowledge of this, a position on Elysium usually only came to the most loyal people in middle management, highly decorated officers or direct family of leaderboard seat's or CEO's. On top of that the strict employment contract's were signed on Elysium. Employment laws on the dryland, are usually a half step removed from legal slavery allready, but some human right and ethical laws still stand in the way of placing remote explosives in your employee's frontal lobe, which makes it hard to completely controll them in a Black Ops context - on dryland. With the promise of an instant lobotomy for deserters, the people that'd want to leave can't untill the situation is completely under their controll. The people that want to stay use this to their advantage of course. News anchors around the world can't go two days without reporting on another "shootout between paramilitary groups of squatters on the desolate island of Elysium" - so both the Untouched and Disnintendo pay small fortunes for any temperproof media they could weaponise as propaganda.
Lockheed Meta's influence is biggest in the North-East, with most of the armed forces that have been hired from Blackwater still loyal to them, these troops could easily sway back to their actual Employer though, if ZUCK gives them a reason to - not being able to pay them being the most likely scenario.
Blackwater at this point doesn't seem to care much about the floating city beyond doing the job they were paid to. With most of the collaboration squad leaders taking Blackwater's olive branch after the par . OTEC management has allready laid the groundwork to take over the North in a clean and political manner, offering them protection for their ressources. Some big figures in the North (mainly ... the leader of the Untouched and some of the more peacefull council members) still oppose this because of the risk of being targeted heavier should one of the south districts break through in the east. Most of the Council and ubeknownst to them even ABEL favor this, making it only a matter of time.   Monsanto's Assets in the Arcology remain as they were before the war, with EDEN, their science- and agriculture complex in the north of Elysium being completely self sustained - they have the capacity to sustain basically the whole arcology, their grocerie exports have given them the same role they have globally in the microcosm of elysium, wealthy but understaffed and not equipped for large scale combat. Their biggest concern's aren't immediate violent threats, since they have quite the buffer between them and everyone eyeing their "Garden EDEN" with envy and/or malicious intent. The only real threat to their well established position would be political infighting. Some old guard scientists and directors still don't want to team up with what to them is obviously a Militech force out of general mistrust, but it's only a matter of time untill they're ruled over. While not strong enough to seize power by force, them leaving to join the Untouched would turn a slight understaffment problem into an immediate crisis.
