Emaniquoran Guild of Bounty Hunters
The guild is one of the older guilds within the continent of Emaniquora. Members of the guild are often offered certain protections under Lorasian law. Membership may be obtained in the following ways:
When a Guild member reaches a certain number of successful bounties, they are often offered a seat ont he Council of the Guild. Some elite members are offered Guild-exclusive high-value contracts. Usually elite members of the guild have successfully cashed in on approximately 10,000+ gp in contracts.
Bounties throughout the Lorasian Empire range from low-value quibbles among peasants to high-value contracts issued by the government. The most common are for monsters or other foul creatures that are besmirching the countryside. Close behind this are contracts for outlaws, briginds, or other unsavory folks. In some cases, there are bounties for lost belongings, fact-finding missions, missing person(s) quests, or other odd jobs.
All issued bounties, regardless of who issues them, are registered with the Guild. In the rare case that a bounty is issued on short notice or without going through the proper channels, the bounty can be presented to the Council of the Guild to be verified and added to the Guild's records.
Most bounties are issued through official Guild houses or offices. These guilds operate seperately from the Lorasian Empire though they are often afforded protections by the government.
Most major cities have a guild chapter house. Sometimes, for larger cities, there are multiple chapters. Lorisen, for example, has around 10 various chapter houses. They are often hidden and known only to members of the Guild. They usually require a password. There are many houses that are known only to certain factions of the Guild while others are known to nearly everyone.
The Guild has headquarters in the Jubilee Spire in Lorisen (for more information on the Jubilee Spire, see Commercial Neighborhoods of Lorisen). The Council of the Guild have their living quarters in this Spire. Judgements on prospective Guild members or on punishments for current members are made here. All government contracts are processed in the headquarters. Addtionally, all records, historical and current, are stored here.
