The Sturgeon

The Sturgeon is a medium-sized cargo ship turned passenger ship. Following the outbreak of war in the Empire the ship's captain capitalized on the need for folks to escape the rapidly changing circumstances in the continent's capital city. As one of the last ships to exit the city following the mass exodus of the city in the week following Loras' Day, the passengers were a rag-tag group and crew.
The ship is made of a strong oak and stained a dark brown. There is a painting of a sturgeon along the side that has faded and chipped with the years. The sails are kept pristine with only a few patches.
The ship's captain is a middle-aged woman named Hanna. She is a half-dwarf/half-human and stands at approximately 4'10"; she is of medium build with sun-tanned skin and dozens if not hundreds of freckles throughout from prolonged sun exposure; she has medium-length wavy, brunette hair that she tends to wear half-tied back with a string of leather; other features of hers include brown - almost black - eyes, scars and old burns from ropes, knives, and other sailing gear, and a few small tattoos that she keeps hidden most of the time. She tends to be a personable host, though more difficult guests aboard her vessel can cause her fuse to shorten.
Hanna has revealed that she worked for a pirate ship called The Silent Serpent, captained by Beckett Crawford, for nearly a decade. She left for unknown reasons and began to captain her own shipping vessel.
After the group left her ship in Klagensee in Ruvaen 498 she informed them that they were heading across the ocean towards the lands to the west.
