Eoxian

Humanoid species closely related to humans. Due to an ancient tragedy that scarred their planet and made it unlivable, the entire species and culture had to become undead. The have accepted other species into their culture as long as they are willing to become undead themselves. This was done through conquest for centuries but after an unsuccessful war with the Pan Galactic Confederation. The war ended the Noxian Empires expansion and do to shortages of key resources to keep their Empire alive, the Noxian's joined the Pan Galactic Confederation. This led the Noxian government to adopt a system of voluntary admission. To be a citizen of the Noxian Empire one must be undead. To become a citizen the being must submit themselves have spells and rituals cast to turn them undead. Once turned, they usually spend time in government service or service to one of the Oligarchs of the Noxians.

Thow some of the Oligarch houses have fournd magical and scientific ways to reproduce "naturally", most citizens of the Noxian Empire have been magically turned undead. Some through conquest and others willingly seeking eternal life, even as undead.
