Bestiary of Alsona
The short Bestiary of Alsona is written by a scholar of the University of Pegrama, to provide a roster of known creatures and animals that cause troubles throughout the wilds of Alsona. Only a brief knowledge of each creature is present in the book, along with a rudimentary artist’s depiction. The book begins with more mundane animals such as bears and wolves that are plentiful in the forested regions. It also warns against the presence of mountain lions in the Apps, known for perching on rocks and getting the jump on their prey. A number of snakes are mentioned as being poisonous. The book then goes on to briefly discuss chimeras, manticores, dryads, and harpies, but lacks any full description or illustration of the creatures.
