Chirper

Chirper is the popular term for the language used by snallygasters throughout the Mersan Union. The name of the language is taken from the unusual clicking and chirping noises made the by snallygasters in conversation. The majority of the language is primarily these sounds and accompanying hand and head gestures. Humans have found it possible to speak the language, but it runs counter-intuitively to most forms of communication, and therefore is difficult to learn. Snallygasters rarely speak a language other than Chirper, and the few that do usually understand Common but do not or cannot speak it themselves.
