Ranger

Rangers are more common in the Sypi Confederacy, Alsona, Recfrere, and Populres when compared to the rest of Emicara. Due to the vast amount of uncivilized and untapped lands throughout those lands, there’s plenty of room for independent rangers to wander in the wilderness. Many make a living finding and salvaging ruins from the Nameless Empire, while others take up monster hunting. Those who simply seek a peaceful lifestyle have found themselves driven into ever more remote territories. Rangers appear from all races, but are more common in frontier nations along the northern and western nations where wilds abound.   Adventurer Disclaimer: As an adventurer you are automatically an exception to racial rules! The story is about you, and therefore, you can be expected to break boundaries the majority of people in the world of Emicara are typically restrained to.   When people in Emicara think of rangers, they typically think of the Hunter or Monster Slayer, lone warriors existing on the fringe of civilization. Most hunters come from the Sypi Confederacy or the Giant Lands, trained to hunt and kill the great creatures and monsters from the west. The Alsonan Rangers are an entire organization dedicated to the elite training that most associate with this archetype. The River Watch has similar affinity for those who train to fight giants.   Beast Master rangers are rarer in Emicara, as the patience and time it takes for an individual to make a bond with wild creatures is something most people lack. Most beast masters either hail from the distant frontiers, or are gnomes from the various secluded enclaves in the foothills of the Apps Mountains. A handful of elves are also proficient in this sort of combat, but they are considered the least of the various warriors of the Tenashi Kingdom.   Gloom Stalkers are people who have trained in the shadows as trackers, spies, and assassins. The Tenashi Kingdom has quite a few of these individuals, used in the past to assassinate human nobles who posed a risk to their isolation. The Cult of the Damned also employs individuals with these skills, in their shadow war against the Monastic Brotherhood and the Fellowship of the Palms.    Horizon Walkers and Fey Wanderers are rare. Only a handful are known to exist, and most are believed to have other concerns than dealing with the material plane. Most horizon walkers tend to be Sunborn or serve the Shin Empire. They are known to be mysterious and unwilling to communicate much about their goals, and extremely dangerous in a fight.   Swarmkeepers are viewed consistently with trepidation by the public and other rangers. Reliant upon the masses of creatures that serve them, these summons and beasts rarely help a swarmkeeper fit in well in public. They tend to be found out on the frontiers, far away from civilizations, or in small villages in the hinterlands. They are typically respected by whatever small communities they serve but are often not welcome in larger cities.
