The Odyssey

Written by esteemed fiction writer, Collum Tassis, the Odyssey is a historical epic detailing Alsona’s most legendary war against the Kingdom of Troit. According to the story, the Queen of Alsona had been kidnapped by Troit raiders and their centaur allies, and taken back to their stronghold deep in the Deadlands. The armies and lords of Alsona were mustered and went north to fight the war. The Troitites were defeated, and Alsona’s armies returned home, on a long and difficult journey. Much detail and exploration of the journey is displayed in the book, stating that of the thousands who left, less than one hundred eventually returned. Centaurs, harpies, and a cunning enchantress blighted the army’s return, leading to a winding adventure through the Deadlands before they were all eventually able to return home with the Queen. The story even claims that the King himself aided the adventurers, the last known sighting of him in recorded history.
