Emiroth

Welcome to Emiroth, the Fabled Plane! This is a world full of monsters and magic, people and politics, inspiration and intrigue, and endless adventures. Dragons roam the skies, and all manner of man and beast prowls the land. It's not a world to be explored lightly, as dangers abound. People of the Outlands fight to survive against the horde of foul creatures that attack from the Withered Lands. Further from the borderlands, the people make war one upon the other, vying for power as the Wither grows more ever more restless. Wars may be fought over a single piece of the plane's dwindling supply of Manastone. Your every action could reverberate and tip the scales, toppling kingdoms and lifting lords from rags to thrones. Men may rally armies behind you - or against you.   But there is beauty too: breathtaking vistas, rich treasures, and fantastic creatures that the imagination can scarcely contain. Any dungeon could contain untold riches. Any path through the woods could lead to a lost city. Adventure is everywhere in Emiroth. There are thousands of roads to glory in Emiroth, but many of them lead to Manastone. A blue-white substance that seems to glow with an otherworldly light, Manastone is an incredibly rare material that is not completely understood. In fact, even the "stone" part of its name isn't a certainty; it feels and looks like smoothly polished marble, but nothing seems able to break it, or even chip it or scratch it. Even the strongest magic barely seems to affect it. But anyone near it can feel its magical resonance. Kings will send entire armies to retrieve even a tiny piece. If YOU are ever fortunate enough to find some, keep it hidden and safe - you never know what people will be willing to do in order to get their hands on it.   Always be ready! You never know when you'll find yourself between two armies, or deep in a cave full of vile monsters, or battling a dragon on an icy mountain, or chasing whispers in taverns to catch a hint of a rumor of Manastone. You may find yourself in the presence of kings or thieves, nobles or pirates. The possibilities are endless!
