Lanos

Lanos is the Emmerainian god of honor and justice. Revered by Paladins, Clerics, and lay warriors around Emmerraine, Lanos represents the highest ideals of honor, chivalry, and righteousness. He is held in high esteem by almost everyone, and especially in Westgate.

Temples and shrines to Lanos are to be found in almost any civilized area of Emmerraine, tended by priests and any willing locals who are well versed in the faith.

Lanos' commandments line up perfectly with lofty ideals of honor, justice, chivalry, and strength. He commands all of his paladins and clerics to stand as bulwarks against evil, and has sacred weapon is the spear.

After Emmerraine was created, Lanos forged for himself a spear, crafted with mithral and infused with magics of the highest order.

During his battle with his sister and evil counterpart, Xaetha, Lanos smote her with his spear, and it shattered into 9 pieces and fell from the heavens to Emmerraine. These pieces are scattered and hidden throughout the world, where dedicated paladins still seek them to this day.

Legend says that once all the pieces of the spear are found and fused together by powerful magic, the wielder will become godlike in power.

When Lanos must come to the Mortal Realm, he appears as an unusually tall, handsome male human clad in gleaming armor reminiscent of real-world gothic armor. He does not wear a helm, unless he appears to do battle, in which case he wears a bascinet "griffin" helm. He carries a warhammer, which is infused with magic so powerful it causes the earth to shake when used.
