Karmaic System

Introduction

The Karmaic Laws, also known as the Laws of Karma, form an intrinsic part of the world and the very essence of existence. While the origin of Karmaic energy remains shrouded in mystery, it is understood that during the initial stages of Vishidal creation by The Ancients, this energy was woven into the life force of the world. Consequently, all life forms possess Karmaic energy, with its manifestations being shaped by the nature and actions of individuals, social groups, and even the habitats themselves. Although these manifestations are loosely categorized as 'Positive' and 'Negative,' these terms oversimplify the nuanced meanings, outcomes, and effects associated with them.

Karmaic Balance and Outcomes

The fundamental law of cause and effect dictates that actions in one's life influence the nature of future experiences. Outcomes vary based on the repeatability, different types, mixings, magnitudes, and durations of Karmaic energy. The Karmaic system operates as a kind of "magical" framework grounded in belief and karma. For instance, a 'positive' request made to a 'positive' deity by a follower with a 'positive' karma level will yield different results if any of the quoted 'positives' are changed to 'neutral' or 'negative.'   At the highest echelon of this system lies the concept of Karma balance. However, even individuals, including deities, possess only a rudimentary understanding of this balance. It is sustained by a natural law akin to the principles of attraction and opposing forces observed in physics.
Prevalence
To a certain degree present throughout the known world, though some natural crystal formations tend to find congregations of Karmaic energy. In recent times, mankind has developed and enhanced shrine and temple devices to capitulate on increase concentrations of Karmaic energy that is attracted.
Karmaic Outcomes
All life on Vishidal have the innate ability to harness Karmaic energy onto their surrounds or in themselves, however it usually works in subtle and infrequent ways, which are restricted to individuals in short term, social groups in medium term and/or habitats in the long term. If an increase in resultant magnitude is desired then mantras can be spoken and the use of shrines or temple complexes can be utilized to increase the potency   Based on the concept of cause and effect, outcomes are influenced by the quantity and quality of the mantras expressed as well as the intentions and inherent alignment of individuals, groups and societies.   Outcomes are based on several key concepts:   1. Alignment and intentions of the practitioners, which is based on your individual and/or collective actions currently and in the past.   2. Quantity and Quality of the participants and the mantras that are used; mantras need to be used appropriately in line with the nature and magnitude of the request.   3. Proximity to special sites or wells of Karmaic energy, or if the use of The Jaadvas or Jaads.   No cost incurred just that the outcome will also have consequences associated the request which will counteract on the intended result.

Effects on the World

Manifestation
Overall there is naturally no visual manifestations of Karmaic Energy; as it is just the effects from a cause or action, however there are exceptions to the rule. There are the deities themselves which exude such a high form of Karmaic Energy both in quantity and purity that alledgedly it could be seen by all lifefoms on Vishidal. However the deities have rarely shown themselves to mortals within the last 1,000 years and also just sparingly.   Other exceptions would be Karmaic sensitive lifeforms such as the Embar Madhum Bee; inheriting traits from all Karmaic Gods which is rare in such abudance, can detect and see Karmaic Energy directly. Other visualisations are from reactions from The Jaadvas; items created by Deity or Deities that fulfil and create a particular effect, which are affected by mantras from Mankind's individuals and societies. Though the resultant outcome might not what the recipitent desired or have an outcome that The Jaadvas was created for.
Natural world
The affiliation of flora, fauna, individuals, and societies with specific deities is intricately linked to their habitats, characteristics, and purposes, shaping both their abilities and inherent nature.   Special Sites Scattered around the world are natural Karmaic energy wells in places where there is an abundance of life; usually away from major settlements, flora and fauna there are said to be enhanced by the presence of the well.   An example would be the The Willow-Apple tree; a cross between Willow and Apple tree, stands as a symbol of positive karma creation, that has protective leaves surrounding the flower and when the fruit ripens it slows lowers the fruit to the ground by the willow branches. Its unique interaction between willow branches and apple fruit contributes to an environment of positivity and growth. It is known to grow only near Karmaic Wells; either natural or artifical.
Place in Society
Mantras are an important part of Vishidal societies. Due to the nature of their world it is inconceivable that the use of Mantras will cease and for many the use of Mantras and their outcomes are essential for survival and prosperity.   Within the Empire of a Thousand Sunsets, a unique localization of metaphysical and magical laws is evident. Here, the combination of Water and Thinking (Fire) results in the development of advanced waterwheel technologies, water pressure systems, and magical practices. The localized nature of these effects is a consequence of the Empire's distinctive environmental and cultural attributes.   Stammen-Parat High Temple located in the capital city of the Empire of a Thousand Sunsets, it is deemed to be one of the most powerful sites for Karmaic energy in the region with a particular focus on Disciplined Thoughtfulness energy.
Languages
Mantras were originally written in Old Kar, deemed as the language of the Gods, but throughout the ages languages have diversified and split between the different peoples that call Vishidal their home. Currently in the Empire of a Thousand Sunsets, the language spoken for Mantras is High Mut-Soo; derivative dialect of Middle Kar-Pansol, which in turn is one of the successors of Old Kar in the Lake Pansol region.

Thank you so much! I have more ideas on the way to integrate Karma Forces as the only forces that act on this world. So the laws of physics technically don't exist but the physical effects of those laws are present but are governed by the concepts of Karma, e.g. gravity is governed by the God of Pride - Guardian of the Earth and Rock, so it is essential to 'pray' or choose actions that this god approves of, at least a little bit or you would fly off into space.

Ooooh, this was a really interesting read. I like this take on karma and how you connected it to your magic system of the world. I loved the idea of the karma wells and their effects. I bet the willow apple is a beautiful sight to see; it sounds delightful. Are there any "well" areas that produce negative effects? Or are all the wells formed from the positive energy?

As Karma can be positive or negative then Well areas can be positive or negative, though the abundant lifeforms that are drain and 'evolve' in that area are vastly different.
