Western Flatlands
Geography
Alluvial plains formed from mountain springs. The land is lush and fertile, shielded from harsh weather by the Zarenian Mountains to the east.
Ecosystem
Fertile, temperate grassland with small hills and few trees. Temperatures remain relatively mild throughout the year, although proximity to the ocean still grants significant amounts of wind and rain. Snow is infrequent but does occur in the higher elevations close to the mountains.
The land is suitable for small- to medium-sized farms and supports a moderate amount of hunting.
Fauna & Flora
The flatlands are considerably more developed than the mountains.
