Empires of the Milky Way

Empires of the Milky Way is collection of a gothic science-fantasy stories set in an dark and surreal far future, showing humanity's continual struggle against themselves and the countless eldritch forces which threaten them. It will exploring humanity's alien descendants in a strange galaxy after they were forced to leave Earth, as well as the many cultures and religions that were spawned afterwards.   One core setting is called Dracocinis. Set on an ancient, flat, artificial world that's the most similar to Earth. Set in period of The Machine Empires, in the throes of it's Age of Discovery, it is a time of technological innovation and imperial expansion. Where the races of humanity and their nations begin to finally conquer the world more effectively than their forefathers did. Where monsters may finally be culled in greater numbers; where man can thrive beyond feudal kingdoms and serfdom; where countries can rise in wealth and power; where religions offers genuine salvation to the faithful. But in all this supposed prosperity, darkness still resides in the shadows and mankind must still fight against them if it is to continue.
