Barnok

(a.k.a. Crop)


Barnok is an aspect of Fliral and a physical aspect. It revolves around crops, harvest and all domesticated and/or edible plants for humans. This is an element that can change depending on changes within the world. If humans domesticate a new plant, besides herbs and flowers, the plant then falls under this aspect from one of the others. This is one of the most valued and revered aspects in the world and very common among farmers. It's counterpart is Maralith, another aspect closely tied with agriculture and humanity itself.

Racial Manifestations



When Fliral gifted all lifeforms with their magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts Racial Magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations

Manipulation
Able to manipulate, alter or enhance the growth of crops that are present or nearby.

Aura
Able to summon or generate crops temporarily.

Eye
Able to see crops present around them, through barriers, and can what kind of plant it is.

Sense
Able to feel crops around them despite barriers and can tell what kind.

Skin
Able to generate material from a crop plant on their skin or in sweat. Common kinds are capsaicin, cotton and fibrous husk (from various nuts).

Charge
Can absorb moisture, energy or nutrients present in organic material (including still living organic material) via touch and store them inside their bodies. They can convert this to magic energy, transfer the energy to a target or re-release it like an aura.

Craft
Able to craft new variations of crops in the form of new seeds with varying properties.

Fertility
Able to increase the fertility of a crop and aid in the healthy gestation and growth of the new plant.

Will
Can produce crop plants/produce which amplify the magic of others upon contact.

Pocket
Able to create small portals into Barnok's Plane big enough to reach their hands or arm inside and can place or remove small items from the plane. Can pluck out crop products from the plane.

Shield
Immune to negative effects and/or damage from all crop magic.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Barnok's Plane.

Step
Can enter and exit Barnok's Plane via portals and travel the plane freely, without injury. Can bring another with them while maintaining contact.

Form
Their magic form has features of a specific crop plant incorporated into it. They will be able to manifest certain charictarsitics of this crop.

Body
The caster bonds to a domesticated plant when they are born and their lives are connected, both taking on the longer life span between them. They can share attributes, racial magics and energy but if one dies, so does the other.
