Emryl

(a.k.a. Heat)


Emryl is an aspect of Ferith and a physical aspect. It consists of heat. This is both the temperature and the energy produced by that heat. Its counterpart is Iska, cold and ice. Much like Iska, Emryl is able to generate or manipulate temperatures independent of outside influences. While Iska can affect temperature and produce ice, Emryl generates energy and can alter physical matter with that energy. While able to magically produce the heat, it otherwise follows the physics of nonmagical heat.

Racial Manifestations



When Ferith gifted all lifeforms with their magic, each life form was capable of receiving two gifts. Each of these blessings would grant the lifeform a connection to a specific aspect and this connection could be utilized in a given way. These gifts were passed down to their descendants as well and eventually beings came to call these gifts Racial Magic. These are named by the aspect a caster is connected to and by how they can use it, how they manifest their connection.

Manifestations
Manipulation
Able to manipulate heat present in their environment.

Aura
Able to generate or heat in various ways.

Eye
Able to see thermally rather than by light, perceiving the world via heat. Can judge the heat precisely.

Sense
Can feel the world around them via temperature, feeling the precise heat of everything around them.

Skin
Can generate heat from their skin into extremes and expand this around themselves into various shapes. They are also tolerant to extreme heat.

Touch
Can rapidly heat whatever they touch. The longer the duration, the more extreme the temperature and the further it permeates.

Charge
Can store up heat inside their bodies. They can convert this to energy, transfer the warmth or energy to a target or re-release it like an aura at will.

Craft
Able to craft materials usually requiring heat by hand with great detail and without need for tools (ex: blacksmithing, pottery, baking, etc.)

Blood
They can heat their blood to extremes, burning whatever it touches when they bleed or heating their own boy.

Will
Can produce warmth which amplifies the magic of others upon contact or extend this effect into warmth already present.

Breath
Can exhale extremely hot air.

Sleep
Can inflict sleep onto a target and raise their body temperature, inducing a controlled fever. This state has a regenerative, healing effects.

Shield
Immune to negative effects and/or damage from all heat magic and naturally occurring heat.

Vision
Able to enter a meditative state in which the caster can explore and peek through portals or windows within Emryl's Plane.

Step
Can enter and exit Emryl's Plane via portals and travel the plane freely, without injury. Can bring another with them while maintaining contact.

Form
Can convert parts of their body into pockets of heat or has these incorporated into their form.

Body
Can convert entire body into a pocket of heat and merge with or travel along other heat.
