Kerpudhapea
Also Known as 'Spongeheads'
Basic Information
Anatomy
The Kerpuds are humanoid fungal growths that have lived within the surface of the planet for many years. They tend to be either a pale vanilla color or slightly pink. They have two eyes just below a large growth, resembling a brain in texture. These eyes are weak and more of a vestigial piece of their history as surface dwellers. They have two arms and legs, although the legs are stubby and thick. They are strong however, making it difficult to dislodge a Kerpudhapea when they have chosen to stand somewhere. A thick casing of some strange mineral produced by their bodies allows their spores to produce an antimagic effect.
Biological Traits
Fungal Spore Spray: X/Day uses, where x is equal to their Endurance divided by 5 rounded down, minimum of 1. The Fungal Spore Spray acts as a 4m ranged cone attack. Anyone within the cone must make a dodge save (DC 5*END) or be covered in spores as per the Sticky Spores ability.
Magical Resistance: Kerpuds are innately resistant to magical effects. Whenever a Kerpud would be affected by a magical spell or ability roll a 1d100. On a 1-10 the effect is negated. They ignore the effects of magical radiation.
Sticky Spores: Whenever a Kerpud would be subjected to an attack with a natural weapon, the attacking creature must make a FORT save (DC 5*END) or become covered in spores. When covered in spores all attempts to use magic receive a penalty equal to The Kerpudhapea’s Intellect/3 (rounded down) this effect lasts for 10 rounds or, until the target is drenched in water, set on fire or, the target chooses to spend a full round removing the spores. All magic items with effects of the Kerpudhapea’s level or lower also are dampened by the spores. The spores will also remove all magical radiation effects of any creature or surface covered by them for 5+Kerpudhapea’s Endurance/2 rounds.
Unbreakable Stance: Kerpuds are strong footed creatures and can remain standing stationary against blows that would send many larger creatures flying. When a Kerpudhapea spends a standard action to prepare a defensive stance. It gains +30 on any rolls to prevent being pushed or knocked down. This also gives them a -15 on dodge attempts. The stance is interrupted whenever the Kerpudhapea moves from the space they were occupying with the stance.
