Lord Commander of the 3rd Selicien Order of Knights

The Lord Commander is the leader of the 3rd Selicien Order of Knights.

Qualifications

Only a member of the Knight Council can be promoted to the position of Knight Commander. The Knight Council consists of the 22 Knight Commanders that head up each regiment of the Order.

Appointment

The Lord Commander is chosen by his or her peers of the Knight Council after the death or dismissal of the previous Lord Commander.

Duties

The main duty of the Knight Commander is to ensure the well being and continuation of 3rd Selicien Order of Knights and all members. It is also the Knight Commanders duty to ensure the safety, freedom and well being of all citizens of the United Selicien Confederacy.

Responsibilities

The Lord Commander is responsible for keeping the order running as effective as possible. Most decision making has been delegated two members of lower rank, but the Lord Commander can always be called upon for advice and such. He or she generally moderates all meetings of the Knight Council and will act as a tie-break in all votes they make. Another resposibility of the Lord Commander is to head the day-to-day running of the Orders main seat of power; Bright Spire.

History

The Lord Commander has been the head of the Selicien Order of Knights ever since the 1st Order. During the reformed 2nd Selicien Order of Knights there were actually three concurrent Lord Commanders, but with the reformation into the 3rd Order the number of people who could hold the title simultaneously was again reduced to one.
