Not long after the death of her mother, her father dies as well, leaving Arte in charge of her brother.
Thankfully, they are taken in by their uncle, Ron Zvezda, who owns the Darb Loch Tavern in the heart of Rollam. The siblings start working for him and eventually meet Seton Sabella while playing in the streets one day. They immediately become friends.
On the night of Keel Crim's assassination, the Zvezda siblings were sleeping in a servant room when they witnessed the effraction of a masked individual. They were killed before making the slightest sound. When their bodies were discovered by a servant after Josef Sabella had alerted the guards, the body of Arte was laying on top of Pollo's, likely in an attempt to protect him.
Their uncle died a few months later, the tavern ending up sold at the auction.
