History of the Pantheon

The Dawn of Divinity: The Elysian and Terran Pantheon

In the nascent age of Enniria, before the land bore the footprints of mortals, there existed only the boundless, churning Aether—the primordial fabric of creation. From this celestial tapestry, the first conscious will emerged: Vur'Kroth, the Progenitor, whose existence predated form and substance.
Vur'Kroth, a being of immeasurable power and boundless curiosity, beheld the vast emptiness and felt the pull of a singular desire: to fill the void with marvels yet unseen. Thus, with a thought that echoed through the infinite expanse, Vur'Kroth willed the Aether to coalesce, and from this act of divine intention, the Elysian and Terran Gods were born.
The Elysian Gods, radiant and resplendent, were the first to emerge, woven from the Aether's most luminous threads. They were the architects of order, the weavers of harmony, each bestowed with a domain reflective of Vur'Kroth's vision for a world of beauty and grandeur. They brought forth the stars, the sky, and the ethereal dance of day and night.
As the Elysian crafted the heavens, the Terran Gods stirred from the darker, more enigmatic strands of the Aether. They were the sculptors of form, the patrons of the unseen, and the keepers of mysteries that lay beneath the surface. Together, they molded the rugged bones of Enniria, filled its chasms with jewels, and sowed the seeds of life in its fertile soils.
For an age, the Elysian and Terran Gods worked in concert, their creations interweaving to form Enniria—a realm of breathtaking wonder. It was a time of unity, where the sky's boundless canvas and the earth's deep vaults were equally cherished. Each god's power was respected, their realms honored, their contributions invaluable to the world's burgeoning splendor.

The Schism of Divinity

For countless cycles, the Elysian and Terran Gods stood shoulder to shoulder, their divine crafts interlacing to sculpt the world of Enniria into a masterpiece of living art. A balance was maintained, as each god's influence was counterpoised by the other, creating a world rich with complexity and life.
Yet, beneath the veneer of unity, an insidious force wormed its way into the heart of the Terran pantheon. Whispers of an ancient entity, older than Vur'Kroth and hidden within the folds of the Aether itself, began to sow seeds of discord. This primordial being, envious of the new gods and their vibrant creation, sought to usurp their domains by stealth and subterfuge.
One by one, the minds of the Terran Gods were ensnared, their wills bent towards a singular, malignant purpose. The enigmatic force coveted the Aether's power, which had birthed the world and sought to corrupt it from within. Unbeknownst to their Elysian counterparts, the Terran Gods began to alter in demeanor and purpose, their creations taking on a more twisted form, their intentions growing ever more opaque and sinister.
The Elysian Gods, at first, attributed these changes to the natural evolution of their Terran brethren's domains—areas intrinsically tied to the darker, more arcane aspects of existence. However, as the Terran's actions grew increasingly destructive and their methods more ruthless, it became apparent that something was terribly amiss.
Conflict erupted as the Elysian sought to restore their brethren to clarity, to free them from the shadow that had clouded their judgment. But the entity that had taken hold of the Terran was ancient and powerful, and the struggle between the once harmonious gods escalated into a war that threatened to fracture the very foundation of Enniria.
The land bore witness to this divine war, a testament to the cataclysmic power of gods in turmoil. Mountains crumbled, seas boiled, and the sky itself wept tears of fire. It was a time of sorrow and chaos, where the very fabric of reality quivered in fear of being undone.
This era, now known as the Schism of Divinity, set the stage for the enduring legends of valor and sacrifice. It was a period that defined the future of Enniria, forever shaping the relationship between the mortal realm and the divine.
