Tanyx

Tanyx was the son of Kalyx and second Emperor of the Kalyxian Empire. 
As the favored son of Kalyx and his beloved concubine Cara, Tanyx grew up attending consul meetings and being tutored by the empire's foremost scholars. He attained a military general position by the age of 26, and proved himself a talented and resourceful leader. Even at such a young age, he quickly gained the respect of those who served under him.
When his father was assassinated in 496, the position of Emperor was disputed, as there hadn't been a power transition in the history of the empire. Tanyx was narrowly chosen by the Consul due to his position as Kalyx's favored son and his military history serving as a respected and successful general. He was crowned emperor later that same year at the age of 34. His position was cemented when he defeated a rebellion led by a dissatisfied consul using his tactical wit.
Tanyx's reign was defined by greater freedom of knowledge and movement, ambitious public works projects, and high-minded idealism. It was a time of peace and prosperity.
Tanyx was able to use the same life extending serum as his father, however it didn't last as long. After a falling out with the Eye of Calthon, they withdrew his access to the serum, and he died of old age a few decades after this event at the age of 141.
