The Lady of the Deep

Deep below the crashing waves lies the domain of Waveshaper. The goddess of the sea is known to all as greedy, harsh and vicious. Waveshaper is often only worshiped out of fear by saliors and fishermen. She frequently causes destruction and devestation for no reason more than showing her own power and punishing those who may travel the sea without first paying her toll. Saliors worldwide tell tales of ships being rocked by freak waves and torrents, knowing they were being toyed with by the Lady of the Depths. Though she does not often manifest as anything more than large waves and strong winds, Waveshaper has taken the form of a massive water colored humanoid with tentacles for hair and seaweed for limbs. Waveshaper has few true followers, though there are some. They often set up elaborate houses and temples to worship Waveshaper on coasts and near ports. Some followers even lead lives of piracy, assulting ships on the oceans in her name. The majority of Waveshapers congregation is made of intellegent or semi-intellegent sea life such as sea hags, sahuagin, merrow and even some of the mighty kraken. Waveshaper has many antagonistic relationships with good aligned gods of nature such as the Architect of the Wild, Earthfather and Harvestmother, though she has sworn eternal hatred for the Moonwalker.
