Old Tsoic

Tsoic was the common language spoken during the Age of Arcanous during the rule of the Rutan Republic. All ancient documents, recorded history, and ancient studies were written in Tsoic. This language was bestowed upon the land by the gods as a way to formally rebuild the civilization that was left behind during the Divagation. During which, those of spiritual purity and good heart were rose to fight along side the Gods to tear the bond between the deities from the material plane. The completion of this meant not only the Evil being locked away from entering the Material plane, but removing the prime deities from entering back into the land of Enromen. Following the Divagation, Carrelon was tasked with bringing magic unto the world in wonderous ways. She believed all who seek it, shall have access to it. Ioun was tasked with seeking out great teachers and powerful learners to make magic their passion and spread the wealth of the arcane for the betterment of Enromen. Ioun and Carellon brought their magical inspiration into the hearts of those born with a passion for it. Many deities were displeased with this development. Many gods, consumed with hatred and misery, using their magical influence they have from beyond the vail to raise champions of sufferin to take the beauty of magic away from the people who find passion and salvation in it. Despite this silent war brewing beyond the material plane, denizens of Rutan walked into an arcane revolution of discovery and structural expanse of its knowledge and teaching. Previously, humans could not learn the ways of the arcane through books and passion. Magical means were only experienced by those blessed at birth, or gifted from a powerful, magical being. Tsoic was the language of the land, birthing teachings, and lessons, schools of magic, scrolls, and ancient recorded history all in this language greatly associated with how magic is taught and advanced upon today. After the fall of Rutan, Tsoic was left as the common language, but still developed into a common language used by arcane practitioners and rural towns and farms. Most household teach it as a needed practice for life but common remains as the universal language of Cruyan. Ancient scrolls and preserved writings remain lost in time, or held in vaults and private collections that detail old practices show how the language has changed. Many commoners would not be able to understand the language as it was against how it stands today. Many secrets have yet to be uncovered, but just as many have been further developed and superseded by talented magicians of the current day. As individuals delve deeper into magic, the possibilities continue to grow exponentially.
