Issechar Von Dauland
Issechar Von Dauland
Physical Description
General Physical Condition
Quite lean while previously slightly muscular, lost some while isolating. Has broad shoulders, longer feet, and sharp jaw.
Body Features
Blue-green hair (often worn down with braids) that always seems like it moves through water, blue-black eyes like the void of ocean trenches, sharper teeth. He has a fin down his back, on the backs of his forearms, and on the backs of his calves. Teeth are slightly sharper than an average human's.
Facial Features
Strong cheekbones with strong jaw. Has scaling underneath his eyes. Flat nose and thin lips, and fins on either side of his face
Special abilities
Gifted singer who can use his voice as a spellcasting focus for his bard spells. He must be able to speak, even if the spell doesn’t have a verbal component.
Apparel & Accessories
Typically sticks to unrestrictive, loose clothing for all casual wear. Silk robes and high pants with books, but uses his leather captain's coat when in battle. Wears long gold pendants, containing a kiss from a siren, imprinted on a piece of linen (his token from home and homage to his roots), a pendant of Orin, his wedding ring with Byron, the Pearl of power, and other important items.
Raised on the outskirts of the fabled Atallaria and raised by sirens, Issechar is a headstrong, overly-confident water genasi charming his way to the top of the performance world as a bard, striving to be remembered in a world that normally would not.

• Issechar is pretty uninterested in Volo's pitch for ghosts, typically wanting to leave the dead to their doing, but tags along since everyone else wants to go. Plus, Byron pitched a Spice Night so who was he to say no.
Between being at the manor and going to the crypts, he invites Amon and Byron to the carnival as promised by Paal and Red. He tries to play a trick on the poor renovators joking that he does not know the owl that comes, but quickly finds his joke not landing and taking the letter. He is disappointed and bored when he arrives to the Faire and it is only being set up, but being with the gang beats nothing at all.
• While on spice, Issechar feels his senses highten, and his movements faster. He feels like he is actually having fun instead of being bored out of his mind. He willingly leads the group down with Byron despite earlier disinterest.
Upon waking up the spectre, he basically parks himself near the entrance, casting spells from afar, and he does some decent damage, too (albeit, his first strikes were stronger).
After stabilizing Red with one of his spell slots, he goes and raids some of the nearby coffins, plucking a pearl from the throat of one of the skeletons and stealing a pair of boots off another (for Byron). He strings the pearl to a necklace and keeps it for himself, knowing it is magical, but not even caring if it is cursed.
Session 8
Vincent Trench and A.P.
Vincent Trench calls upon you at Trollskull Manor during your downtime and explains what he has found about the owner of the object you gave him: a pewter ring engraved with the initials A.P. Based on the fact that you discovered the ring in Trollskull Manor, Trench believes this to be the ring of Alloria Palemarrow, a former owner of the inn.
Alloria is an extremely powerful dwarven mage who remains in the city to this day. She was once a member of the Magi of Karabor, but eventually retired and purchased Trollskull Manor from its previous owners. During a great attack on the city, however, she once again took up arms and was instrumental in pushing back the forces assailing Waterdeep. Following that incident, she sold the tavern to a group of shield dwarves and entered the employ of the Blackstaff, intent on continuing to protect the city in whatever way she could.
Alloria Palemarrow is also nicknamed "the Gargoyle," partially because of her stony nature, but also because some magical encounter long ago locked her face in a constant scowl.
This is more or less all of what Trench has been able to uncover, and he believes his job to be done, as discovering the owner of the ring was what you had tasked him with. He returns the ring to Issechar and returns to his apartment.
Session 7
• Three-day weekend! During the days, sings gigs at nearby taverns, earning 7 gold a day, totalling 21 g.
• At nights, he did the spy work for the Zhentrium/Doomraiders. First and second nights were busts, but the third night, he catches a half-elf sailor wander away piss-drunk. When Issechar notices him, he casts Disguise Self to make himself like Three-Strings in sailor get up to follow in the shadows. When the sailor relieves himself in the alley, he catches a whip of a tail and shine of a blade from a dark figure on the roof above them.
• Issechar casts Dissonant Whispers to affect him on a phychic level. He hits and the figure groans in pain. The figure jumps down and lunges at him. Issechar, not wanting to fight, attempts to charm person, but fails. Taking a good look at the figure, finds out that it is a drow, noting his features. He curses and speaks in undercommon, and draws a pistol at Issechar, missing by a hair. Issechar quickly escapes, turning the corner and using Disguise Self again to take the form of a Dwarf he saw earlier. He escapes to the water and goes home.
• At purple night, he mostly remains bored, but does make amends to Paal, showing him his Small Orin pendant that his mothers gave him. They aren't too different, and Paal forgives
• Making amends, he tries to find someone to sleep with. Paal recommends Brother Z, who is just pure Himbo. Issechar approaches him to talk about "Lunamorian philosophy" and how it relates to Orin. After a (botched) attempt to smoothly seduce, he is grateful that Z still invites him to a back room and they get it on before the service.
• When transported to the moon, Issechar doesn't show it, but he is hyper uncomfortable, much preferring the sea than the sky. He feels extremely foreign here and mostly stays back, never once touching the rock. However, with the encouragement from Byron, does go into one of the towers and adjusts the mirrors (and admires himself in them).
• Upon seeing the end of the world... He is extremely shocked. He was always taught that the end of the world would come not with fire, but with the seas surging. He feels scared and aimless, hopeless. How can he stop THIS?
