Grugus, son of the legendary Dustu Boboddy , was among the several children shared between Dustu and his wife, Shamoo.

Grugus was present during the attack on the village where the Boboddy family lived, he witnessed his own mother's death right in front of his eyes. Unlike most Boboddy's, Grugus hid in fear, his whole body filled with fear, unable to move as he watched his home be destroyed. What the rest of the Boboddy family didn't see as they fled in all different directions was what happened after. Necromancers raised every body they could find in the village, including their mother, Grugus watched from a nearby bush as his mother's body rose to life right in front of him, but she was no longer herself, just a mindless husk. Grugus watched in horror as she followed right into their army they were building.

Grugus decided then to devote himself to aiding in the natural process of death, vowing to never let another soul be corrupted by becoming undead.
