Henärah's Oasis
Henärah's Oasis is a little community with incredibly lush foliage, vibrant flowers, crystal clear waters, and a variety of wildlife, ...situated in the middle of a desert where it rarely rains. Numerous wayfarers record sighting or visiting the Oasis during the travels across the desert, marking it down on the map in similar locations; others report seeing no signs of it at all, even when attempting to use maps with the Oasis marked to find it. Though the amount of accounts regarding the Oasis may seem irrefutable, many consider Henärah's Oasis to be a place of myth, or a mirage.
Part of the incredible mystery surrounding Henärah's Oasis is the curious and inexplicable repetition of names in the accounts of wayfarers. Nearly every account which mentions the townsfolk of the Oasis denotes recurring characters: the founder and guardian of the Oasis, Henärah Kadhra;
One common theory regarding the Oasis' origins lies in descriptions of the village: ringed around the verdant paradise are statues and altars of sacrifice to [Torbani], the [Sertem] goddess of Debt and Misfortune. Often these structures are erected in an attempt to stave off misfortune by paying appropriate deference to Torbani. Within the village there is an elaborate shrine to Torbani's twin sister, [Marbani], the goddess of Providence and Just Reward. Some postulate the Oasis is a magically constructed region under the protection of Marbani which rewards faithful, weary travelers with the gift of good providence, allowing them an opportunity to rest and resupply before continuing their journey. Although this theory is quite popular, there are no definitive signs of either Torbani or Marbani's control or influence therein.
Henärah's Oasis is situated somewhere in the middle of the Letkimvor Desert. Most cartographers place it fairly northernward, although this is as debatable as whether or not the Oasis exists.
