Abas had sworn a personal oath of vengeance to an outsider granting in divine powers. The fighting was tense as he vanished from sight after a quick bout with Tua's exotic blade. When we reappeared he cast darkness around himself. But Diaz had no trouble seeing n the dark with his enchanted eypatch and the fighting continued. Ulysses bagn to fire in to the darkness unable to tell friends from foe. He heard two of his bolts impact and slump to the floor and when the darkness faded Diaz lay on the ground unconcious and Abas had dropped his sword a bolt in his hand. Bosh annoyed that his foe had been darting around the battlefield the entire battle arrived and but all of his strength into his blows as he proceeded to turn the shocked Abas into a new flavor of jelly. The crowd grew still as they had just seen the Arena's owner get defeated spectacularly. Then a few clerk went out to meet the group. The group asked for their reward and were told that they hadn't actually made any bets on the fights... Tua didn't like this and he slew one of the clerks as the other two ran away. The party followed after and found the other clerks hiding in the entry room. Diaz shot and killed one while Uylsses kneecapped the other. They eventually realized that they were going to get any money from the arena clerks as while they were afraid they of the group they were also afraid of not giving the lords who had bet on the fight their winnings.   They traveled back though the tunnels and found a secret room using Abas's old sword. Inside they found gold, treasure maps, and a diary. They took these and decided now would be a good time to leave the capital.   The finally arrived in Quendar, and met with the Duke. A fat gentleman who was glad of their help. He sent them to speak with his Marshal for their assignments. Being now almost late winter the city was covered in snow. they whole group found they needed to properly outfit themselves if they were going to continue to the northern island of Sozar. Bosh in particular looked rather dashing in his polar bear long coat and top hat. Covered in rings and jeweled necklaces he had obtained from Abas's treasury.   High Marshel Darlen was pleased with the group and their past deeds. since they had proven capable of infiltrating a group and destroying it from the inside he assigned them to seek out the dwarves and if they could to gain their trust so they they could stop the rebellion.   They took the next ship out to Soazr and arrived at the city of Altest. Quickly they gathered their supplies and headed out on the long cold march up the old road to the mountain pass that lead to the center of the mountain and the dwarves domain. Going over the pass the were spotted by a scout. After some highly suspect discussion where Uylsses almost shot him dead after mistranslating something but then decided not to... The group was taken in to the nearby village and met with the warchief.   They told the warchief they had no love for the Alterians and asked if they could help in any way. the chief obliged them and told of an iron kine that needed to be taken back so as to supply more arms for his troops. The group also learned about the leaders of the rebellion, Tomar and Melkam Corwskull. Twin brothers, one a shaman and the other a skilled fighter who both were said to be more advanced that any on the continent in their respective skills. They ended the night with a dinner and decided to head off in the morning to take back the mine.
