Eortas

Eortas isn't where Man came from, but it's where they now thrive. Enslaved by the Stonemen of Aldapur, they've forgotten their original world. A distant legend at the frayed ends of recollection.   The Mondevallian Empire lost multiple essential territories, and, instead, focuses on spiritual enlightenment, promoting a new monotheistic religion. They state that the current pantheons are usurpers and that only the Lord Radiant can provide salvation. As communities convert, the Imperial influence and power spread again.   The ideals of Man often clash with the ideals of Elves due to cultural differences. A growing fanaticism among Elves sparks a movement to right the imbalance caused by Man.   Stouthearted Dwarves wield their ire against the indomitable Kaessar. The bearded folc eager to reclaim the secrets of their Stoneplate, while the attention of their leadership always lingers to the hidden dangers of the World Below.   Kaessar-led doctrine promotes an end to the pantheons, convinced that deities bring naught but chaos and destruction. Worship of external entities only binds the shackles of existence tighter. Rather than serve gods, the denizens of Eortas should aspire to better their communities by following the tenets of the Kosh (The Way) for a life of enlightenment and purpose.   While the folcas of Eortas toil to maintain their culture and lifestyles, others from beyond the Dark Canvas are attracted to the treasures and promises of Eortas.
