Poisons

General Changes
 
  • Certain poisons can be applied to your weapon as a bonus action
      • Poisons applied this way apply damage successful attack during the duration
 
Poisoner Feat Additions
  • Allows you to do full damage to creatures with resistance to poison and half damage to creatures with immunity.
  • Poisoner feat grants double proficiency bonus to amount of charges to Poisoner’s kit. (Expertise)
  • Unlocks additional poisons or effects.
  • Increases poison save DC by 2.
  • Advantage on Nature or Survival checks when making checks having to deal with poison.
  • You cannot share poisons that require the Poisoner feat.
 
Poisoner’s Kits Revisions
  • Kits have three charges plus proficiency bonus.
    • The Poisoner feat grants double proficiency bonus to amount of charges. (Expertise)
    • Artificer (Alchemist) can add double of their proficiency bonus to the amount of charges. (Expertise)
        The bonus from the Poisoner feat and Artificer (Alchemist) are additive, allowing you to effectively apply triple proficiency bonus.
  • Each poison costs a set amount charges to make.
  • You can create one poison during each long rest.
  • Poisons created via the Poisoner Kit cannot be sold.
  • You can prepare and store a number of poisons equal to your proficiency bonus. You can increase this maximum by one with the Poisoner feat and/or the Artificer (Alchemist) subclass.
  • You cannot “refund” a use of a poisoner’s kit. A poison is lost if it is replaced.
  • Poisons have revised effects. See Poison Table.
